Luc Reid's Bio

Luc Reid is an expert at making stuff up. In junior high school, he founded a secret society; in 2000, he helped found an intentional community; in 2004 he founded the online neo-pro writers' group Codex; last year he started an improvisatory vocal group. He's a past winner of the Writers of the Future Contest, whose first book, Talk the Talk: The Slang of 65 American Subcultures, was released by Writer's Digest Books in 2006.

Despite moving around through his life to places like Philadelphia and Jacksonville, Florida, Luc now lives with his son in Vermont, where Reids have lived for five generations.
